Our lawyers are independent and qualified.

  1. Call us.
  2. If we agree to represent you and you sign a limited mandate letter, you will become a client of directLEGAL.ca

  3. As your project is more defined we may refer you to another lawyer.

The Terms of Use always apply.

In certain cases, if necessary, we can organize for your lawyer to meet you in person. We can also work online and videoconference.

Our lawyers are qualified to help you in all areas of law. This includes matters of a personal nature and for your business.

The usual law firm model is about charging for the hours that are being used. They have to cover the cost of offices, staff and lawyers working in a traditional manner. We add technology and planned workflow that makes all of this more efficient and let’s directLEGAL.ca provide lower costs and more transparent costs.

Our pricing model is transparent. The price listed is the price you pay… plus applicable taxes.

The price listed or the quote we give you is the price you pay. In addition, we do have hourly rates and specific engagement letters when the project and the form of the service changes.

This depends on the service you purchase. The basic package includes a 30 minute conversation with a lawyer. This does not include the time with the intake agent receiving the basic information.

You will be able to upload your document for our review. We will not keep the documents or be responsible for them, but use them only to provide the services.

You can definitely call back and speak to the same lawyer (or another lawyer who has reviewed your file prior to the call). This is available as part of one of our packages or you can purchase another call.

If the issue you have raised with a lawyer requires that you meet a lawyer, the meeting can occur in person or by video call. The lawyer would then present to you their own engagement agreement.

This service also includes a 20-minute phone conversation to go over any additional questions you may have.

Of course, you can express your specific concerns when you submit your document, and we can review them and answer those in the review. In addition, you can address these in the follow-up call.
